Dear Laura and Michael,
I would like to thank both of you for providing us with 20 weeks of wonderful healthy food. I will definitely renew for next season. It has been an immense pleasure preparing the delicious vegetables that you grow for us. Although I split my share with a friend this year, I am planning on keeping the entire share next year.
Thanks also for your recipes and weekly emails. It has been a great experience. Best wishes for a healthy winter and I look forward to next spring already!

Laura-
I haven't been able to pick up our box the past two weeks so my daughter Maureen has been seeing you. Last week's box was just delicious! The melon just melted in our mouths! Yummy corn too. We have had many wonderful vegetables from the bounty of your hard work and I wanted you to know how much we appreciate the great produce and your caring hard work.
Betsy
Hi Laura,
Just wanted to tell you how fabulously wonderful the first 2 vegetable boxes were.
We have thoroughly enjoyed each and every morsel,
Hooray for summer!
Pamela
Just wanted to to say thanks for such a lovely stay. We had an adventure in Cooperstown and a lovely breakfast before heading out. What was most spectacular was the color of the light on our evening drive—have never seen anything like it and we got a glimpse of a rainbow as well. All the best, Andrea
Hi Laura & Michael,
I thoroughly enjoyed the veggies this season.
Collards are my new favorite vegetable, I will confess I never had them before. The beets were fabulous, I really liked that you provided onions and garlic bulbs with nearly every box. Truly it was all so good that I didn't miss the tomatoes at all. I also liked your website, and knowing what veggies i would be receiving.
As far as suggestions, perhaps more herbs, watermelon or cantaloupe would be fun to have.
Now a couple questions for you, is your farm stand still open for the purchased of winter squashes, potatoes etc? If so when are you open? I want to buy some winter quash and potatoes in anticipation of Thanksgiving .
Thanks for all your hard work this year, I am sure at times it was incredibly frustrating battling both the weather and the pests. I look forward to receiving your produce again next year.
Pam
ps If anyone complains about receiving too many greens (kale , collards...whatever), tell them to pass them to over to me!!!! lol

Dear Laura & Michael:
Just a short note on behalf of Elizabeth and myself to thank you for a magical weekend at The Farm. It exceeded our wildest expectations as regards comfort and beauty - and the breakfasts were unforgettable! A few photographs attached which you may find of interest.
Best Wishes: Donal
Hi Laura & Micheal- Your box of food was a thing of beauty. Thanks very much for
putting it together for us. We had an omelet with onion and fennel when we
got home an hour ago, and a cabbage salad - what a beautiful head of
cabbage!
We will savor our weekend with you with every bite and long after all is
eaten as well. Very special in so many ways. I think everything you touch
somehow becomes a work of art - your home, your gardens, your colors, your
food. We feel so lucky to have chanced upon your B&B!
I know it's not likely that you will be coming to Ithaca, but our invitation
remains in effect indefinitely. I don't know whether we'll make it up to
Glimmerglass again but we'll certainly be in touch if we do. La Traviata
was superb!
Thanks for all your hospitality and generosity.
Warmly, Carol
Hi Laura & Michael
My husband & I have enjoyed our vegetables very much. I wanted to ask about the open house and can't find the info on it. Can you send it again? Also, what kind of items will be in the fall CSA? How many more weeks are in this CSA?
Again, thanks again.
Roseann
hi laura, loving the csa so far! i lost the info about the open house for the farm and can't seem to find it on the website, can you tell me when it is again?
thank you!

Good Morning Laura & Michael,
I am soooooooooo loving your vegetables. and I especially like your CSA newsletter and the recipes you are posting, a very thoughtful idea.
I will not be around to pickup Monday's box, is there another day and location I can pick it up for just this coming week?
also if I want to receive eggs, how could we manage that?
Thanks,
Pam
This was a wonderful stay; loved the conversation, food, baseball cards! (and room) Thanks Laura & Michael.

Hi Laura and Mike,
Thanks again for your hospitality. We very much enjoyed our time at
the Farm. We appreciate the time you took to give us a tour. You gave
us much to think about as far as food distribution and production. It
reminded me to be a bit more mindful of the things I eat and how they
found their way to my plate.
Take care. We will be seeing you again before long.

Dear Ms. Knight,
We spoke today at the farmers' market in Old Forge and you suggested I e-mail you about staying with you at your B&B the night of Wednesday, September 3. My husband and I will celebrate our 48th wedding anniversary that day and are considering a trip to Cooperstown and Ilion to commemorate that happy day. Have you a room available that night? We look forward to hearing from you with the details and expect to see you next Friday in Old Forge.
When we spoke, I told you about a recipe for beets and celery that I hoped to make, thanks to your produce today. See the attached recipe. I don't remember where I found it and didn't make a note of it in my records. I hope you enjoy it as I did today. I appreciate your telling me your celery was delicious. Indeed it is the best I have ever eaten. Now I have to think of more ways to enjoy it this week.
Thank you so much for bringing your products to Old Forge every week. It is a joy to come and see you and enjoy the fruits of your labors all week long.
Sincerely,
Mary Ellen

Hi Laura, what was that large green leafy thing in the box this week - some variety of kale or collard? You've got me stumped this week, I just don't know what that is.
The kohlrabi was a beautiful surprise last week - I hadn't seen one in so long I didn't know what to do with it - but I found a fantastic kohlrabi & apple salad with creamy mustard dressing on epicurious.com. Yum yum.
Hey, now that we are several weeks in I just wanted to say that I have been enjoying the selection tremendously, even the repetition of kale has caused me to face some new challenges in the kitchen alternating preparations, hot & cold dishes, etc. and I make a game of it to finish everything you gave me before I pick up the next box.
Everything is so wonderfully fresh - I used to know that if I boiled carrots or steamed broccoli that the water would turn color - but I never knew that so much color came off of fresh, raw vegetables! The rinse water even from the lettuces is a delicious pale green, and after I shredded the purple cabbage this week I had to spend quite a bit of extra time getting the luscious stain out of my cutting board, mandolin, porcelain sink. I felt like Lady Macbeth. I'm not an avid gardener myself, and have never had the luxury of goods so recently from the soil.
Thanks and keep up the good work - I know it's a backbreaking effort right now but I wanted you to know it's worth it.

The Farm B& B is a treat. The decor is quaint and yet metropolitan. The owners are friendly, welcoming and magnificent cooks. The land is luscious and the vegetables are organic. What a sweet time we had there. Michael and Laura were fun and interesting people who were freely sharing their own journeys with us. My friend and I were tended to with a beautiful sunset, a fire in the evening, and fresh eggs in the morning! It was the perfect place for the respite we were looking for. We will return to this gem of a place over and over again. I cannot say enough about this establishment. You won't be disappointed.
Check it out!
Melissa
Hi Laura, I wanted to thank you for the wonderful vegetables this summer and fall. Sure will miss it this winter. Especially enjoyed the Brussels sprouts – keep those coming. I heard a chef talk about growing lemon grass -, sounds good but of course I have no idea … Anyway, thanks again for all your hard work!
Val
Dear Laura,
I'm sorry not to have been able to attend your party last week. I
would have loved to be there. I have one of your boxes (from my pick up at
Tom's last week) and will return it to you. I'll let you know
regarding signing up for next season. I've really enjoyed being a subscriber
this year.
Sincerely,
Flos
